Peeking back in on Tumblr while they go on about sports games I’ll never care about…

Xbox One
Microsoft just announced the Xbox One. Excited that they actually showed off their hardware *cough*sony*cough*
“ I think everybody had a seat in the captain’s chair. ”
This Stardust styled shoot is nothing short of magical! The details capture the enchantment of the book perfectly but my favorite part by far is the wonderful camera trick that turned the bride into a luminous star herself!

My one regret in choosing the Batgirl costume that I did, is that a great part of conventions: interacting with kids, does not exist as an option for me.
During the Calgary Expo parade, I was surrounded by The Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, and a Barbara!Batgirl who were running back and forth giving kids on the sidelines high fives and making their day. I can’t do that in mine. The faceless aspect creeps them out and they usually back away, or at least just stare in confusion. So I don’t bother.
The lack of character recognition doesn’t help. Obviously they recognize the Bat logo, but since Cass has never appeared in other media, kids (and most adults) don’t know what costume it is besides that. I get called “Batman” a lot more than I do “Batgirl”, despite my possession of boobs.
I really need an alternate Batgirl one day.
…except not this day because the ones I’ve been working on are also less recognizable to kids/the public. *face palm*
At least they have faces!

Sometimes I find some cool shots hiding among the 1000’s I’ve taken. Found this one tonight. Apparently they scored some absolutely fantastic Ice Cream.
Ice cream should make everyone this happy.
Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo - Day 2
Finally on Day 2! Was in plainclothes this day because the plan was to get as many autographs on this day as possible.

This is Jakey (Damian cosplayer) with his new friend Ethan at the San Jose Comicfest. Ethan is an extraordinarily artistic 8 year old with his own booth at the convention, whom Jakey consistently returned to during the day. When asked by Mick Gray (the inker for Batman and Robin), what his favorite part of the convention was, Jake told him it was meeting Ethan. At the end of the con, Ethan gifted the spider-man he had been working on all morning to Jakey and even signed his work. Ethan’s face when he handed the art to Jakey… omg. My heart cannot take how adorable they are. Jacob is now practicing how to draw a robin, so he can have something to give Ethan tomorrow. <3
Just to update: So of course the moment we entered the con today, Jakey ran over to Ethan’s booth to purchase art. And of course, Ethan refused to let him pay the five bucks (his mom backed him up saying: “Ethan’s the boss!”). Then he signed it by drawing a little spiderman head. Ethan was so excited to see Jake too and you could tell both boys wanted to hug, but neither wanted to initiate it, so they just shook hands. We saw Ethan quite a few times Sunday.
Oh my gosh! So adorable!
If I’ve learned one thing from John Mayer, it’s to say what you need to say.
Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and…

Arkham Origins Full Trailer
Every time I see a video game cinematic like this, I get sad over the fact that we don’t get many full length movies with this kind of CGI. This one is one of the best looking ones yet wow.
